The Electrical and Automation teams are located in Støvring, Århus, and Odense. Despite the physical distances, we have close cooperation, internal as well as external, and often meet to share our knowledge and experience. We have a strong focus on evolving the employees in the direction they want and creating an environment where everyone can speak their minds. The department is divided into two focus areas:

Electrical

In Electrical, we design and plan all the electrical installations for our biogas plants. In close collaboration with our colleagues from other divisions, we estimate the total needed grid connection, plan the power distribution on site, design and draw the distribution- and machine electrical panels, purchase electrical components and instruments, make tender material for electrical installations, and test and commissioning of these.

In addition, we also perform special tasks, like risk assessing explosive atmospheres, general risk assessments, and electrical support to operating biogas plants.

Automation

In automation, we design and program the complete control system for our biogas plants. We work closely with the electrical engineers and other divisions, to implement the optimal functions and controls. Works tasks include describing the function of the plants, design and purchase of the control system, PLC programming, SCADA design, and commissioning of the systems on-site.

In automation, we also support all our operating biogas plants, with program changes, troubleshooting, etc. We also provide a 24/7 hotline, to keep our plants operational all the time.
