About the role

As a Senior Environmental Expert, you will be the driving force in our environmental work. You will be responsible for ensuring and further developing our compliance and environmental management system. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling our legal monitoring and reporting environmental data. You will also be in charge of waste management plans at our biogas plants. You will have a broad contact surface both internally and externally – and your input will be crucial for our environmental development and profile.

You can be based in our Odense or Aarhus office and will directly report to Nature Energy`s Head of HSSE.

Your tasks will include:

• Maintenance and further development of the environmental and compliance framework
• Preparation and updating of waste plans
• Operation and development of the ISO 14001 environmental management system and assessment of environmental impacts
• Environmental reporting and documentation in relation to authorities and internal requirements
• Conducting climate assessments
• Participation in emergency preparedness and handling of environmental incidents
• Close dialogue with relevant environmental authorities
• Collaborate, guide and support colleagues and external consultants regarding environmental aspects.
• Support the process for identifying environmental projects and follow up on agreed targets

Are you eager to make a difference in an industry that is central to Denmark's green future?

For this challenging role we are looking for a talented individual with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position – preferably gained in the energy sector, process or biogas industry. You will have solid knowledge of environmental legislation in Denmark and preferably at the European level and be used to structured working with reporting, audits, and environmental data. You will also be able to demonstrate strong collaboration skills and thrive in an interdisciplinary environment where the ability to managing multiple stakeholders is critical. We require you to have an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification and an additional ISO 50001 certification would be preferred. Fluency in both Danish and English is essential for the role.
